Chevrolet announced on Wednesday that it has added the Volt to its fleet of electric cars, adding a new option to its range of high-mileage EVs.
The Volt, which the automaker says will be available starting in 2018, will come with a 5.7-liter V6 engine, a larger battery pack, and a range of 40 miles on a single charge.
Chevrolet has said it will be selling a range-extended version of the Volt, with the new model coming with a slightly larger battery.
For now, the Volt is only available in the US, but the automakers plans to expand it to the UK later this year.
The US Volt is slated to go on sale in 2019.
